There is an Article on Forbes that discusses the CyberSecurity act of 2012, yet another Bill in the battle for Internet Censorship. We won't go into detail here about how this Power Grid shutdown theory is more than likely not true, and if it was true, then something would have been done about it already (When bugs in programs are found they are patched). Not to mention that Anonymous has never harbored any ill will against the general people, only corporations and government, leaving one to wo

Two days ago I wrote a blog on the new Age of Digital Paranoia

...and here it begins...

http://www.filesonic.com now only allows Downloading of files personally uploaded, all sharing has been disabled.

There is no reason why. More than likely it is either because the company feels they are at risk of a MegaUpload style shutdown, or they are already currently being forced into this decision.

The US Government is succeeding in spreading fear in the corporate cloud world. Who is next?

If you have been paying attention to the internets today, you would notice that Anonymous launched an all out attack against the music industry and any copyright related websites including the justice.gov, fbi.gov, copyright.gov, mpaa.com, riaa.com, wmg.com, bmi.com and more. You can see pictures with timestamps in my Google+ Album here.

Over 5600 Hackers gathered together to choreograph this attack after a very prominent website, Megaupload, was taken down for copyright infringement. No de

The best way to grow is to keep your confidence level slightly above your skill level.
Why do I say this? Because it pushes you past your boundaries without breaking them. As a technician, manager or even business owner, if you remain within the comforts of what you know how to do, you stay there.

I am not saying if you are a IT geek, go get a job as a cook, no. I mean, as the IT person who is used to a certain way of programming, or language...step out of those bounds and start working at s

On September 28th, Amazon.com announced the Kindle Fire. a $200 Android Based tablet that is plugged into all of Amazon's services. This will be the first device that supports Amazon Prime's new Netflix Streaming Video Competitor. It will also become the most dangerous competitor Apple has ever seen.

Amazon markets to the masses, they make their money by having you buy lots and lots of their stuff. I myself use an Amazon.com Visa card as my primary method of payment for everything, because I

My house was ransacked 4 weeks ago. I usually work from my home office and the one day I left home I came back to find all my valuables gone...they went through everything. So I decided it was time to activate the alarm that I had neglected to worry about for so long. My house was not secure at all and I accept it was my fault.

I called ADT, had a salesperson come to the house to give me a quote; $700.00 to install, and they would use the already equipped system that was in the house, the scr

Past Life Regression is used by many spiritual practitioners to seek wisdom from "those" whom they believe "they" once where. "Those who they once were" can mean the chain of events and information that has led them to their current wisdom, as well as a coarse interpretation as the physical entities that their "soul" inhabited.

Aside from the metaphysical ramifications, and belief system altering experience that this can be, there is a unspoken effect of both believing and communicating wit

This Wordpress plugin just came out, and its great! It shows Facebook Like, Facebook Send, Facebook Share, Twitter, and the new Google +1. It is very easy to install and implement with lots of options.
What is frustrating is that Facebook doesnt show numbers by default for some of its icons without clicking it. This makes for an uneven and irritating look on your page, instead of having 3 or 4 nice blocks you get one or the other pushing its way out or being uneven.
So what to do? Displa

An excellent Post by Search Engine Land writer Evan LaPointe: Stop Treating Your Website Like A Broken Old Boat

Whenever I analyze a site, I look at the structure, CMS (if any) and design. Some of the time, the site is built well and has future expansion in mind. Usually, anything built on a community supported open source CMS will do well for years to come seeing as how popular they have become. This also means I probably wont recommend a site redesign. CMS's like Wordpress, Joomla and Dr

Dedicated servers are amazing. I recently got one from softlayer.com. I have learned tons about Linux in the past few months (crash course basically, thanks Google) and setting up servers for web, as well as making sure they are PCI Compliant. A dedicated server is amazingly fast for hosting Wordpress sites and other database intensive apps.

I had a dedicated virtual server from MediaTemple, which after playing with SSH, suddenly rebooted itself at random one day when no one was using it an
